SlyFox Agility Class Schedule

Classes Offered

Certain standards of obedience are required before enrolling in an agility class. A dog must have a sit and down on command; reliable recall to handler. Additionally, dogs must not be excessively shy and must accept approach and handling by the instructor.

Intro to Agility

Learn foundation skills for building team work between dog and handler. Skills include: targeting, circle work, & basic obstacle familiarization.

Beginning Agility

Begin working on obstacle performance and sequencing. Learn basic handling skills. Skills include: rear cross, front cross, lead out and go on.

Junior Agility

Kids 18 years old and younger. Learn basic handling skills. Kids must be able to retain control of their dogs to enter class.

Class Details

Things to bring with you to class:

4-6 foot leash
Flat buckle type collar ONLY (no choke chains, pinch or e-collars ALLOWED!)
Water for yourself
Your dog’s favorite treats (Recommend: soft bite-size treats such as hot dog, string cheese, liver, Bil-Jac, etc) AND favorite toys.
A hungry dog (Recommend: Do not feed your dog his/her evening meal; it’s easier to keep them focused if they are a bit hungry)

Missed Class Policy

Classes are pre-paid and cover a consecutive weeks of instrustion. Credit is not giving for missed classes. This does not include classes cancelled due to extreme weather (they will be rescheduled).

NOTE: All class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required! Instructor's prior approval needed on the beginning and intermediate classes.

Private classes are available.

Parking Instructions

Parking is very limited in front of the facility. Please be courtisous and do not block anyone. There is plenty of overflow parking available on either side of Johnson Lane or on the West side of Vicki Lane. Click here for a photo of overflow parking.
